October 29: The Taj Mahal

Above:  We joined many other people going to see this wonder of the world.  Was surprised to find out that the white marble structure is a mausoleum built in the 16th century  by one of the Mughal emperors in memory of one of his wives.

Above:  This is the gateway to the Taj.  Because of the Diwali festival, thousands of people visited the Taj along with us.
